Use Modern Color in place of your shampoo and conditioner on wet hair in the shower.
Wet hair and apply Modern Color generously. You can comb through the hair to help distribute the color evenly.
Leave on for 10 minutes.
Rinse with just water and dry and style your hair as usual.
For More Vibrant Results:
Use Modern Color as a deep-conditioning hair mask on wet hair.
First, cleanse your hair with your regular shampoo or a clarifying shampoo. After rinsing shampoo, apply Modern Color generously. You can comb through the hair to help distribute the color evenly.
Leave on form 10 - 30 minutes.
Rinse with just water and dry and style your hair as usual.
For Maximum Color Vibrancy:
Use Modern Color on clean dry hair.
1. Make sure your hair is really clean to avoid oil and buildup that could keep Modern Color from adhering to the strands. You can use a clarifying shampoo to achieve this. After rinsing shampoo, do not apply conditioner. Fully dry your hair.
2. Next, separate hair into sections and go layer by layer applying a generous amount of product for maximum coverage, and fully saturate the hair.
Leave on your hair for 10 to 45 minutes depending on desired vibrancy.
3. Rinse hair thoroughly with cool water only, and dry and style your hair as usual.

Modern Color uses gentle, clean ingredients to tone your hair. Results depend on the condition and porosity of the hair. Modern Color is 100% damage-free, so if you are looking for even more dramatic results, we recommend a second application using the Maximum Color Vibrancy method above.

How Long Will It Last?:
Modern Color will start to fade after a few washes and can be re-applied as often as you would like to maintain vibrancy, repair damage, and nourish hair from scalp to ends. Modern Color is semi-permanent, and 100% damage-free. Modern Color usually washes out of gray and natural hair/roots faster than the dyed portion of your hair.

To Create Your Perfect Color Match
Color Mixing:
All Modern Color shades are designed to mix-and-match to create custom shades. If you are mixing colors, combine them using Modern Color’s Eco-Friendly Hair Coloring Bowl & Brush Set.
You can start with a 50/50 ratio and adjust the color in the bowl if needed.
The shade you see in the bowl is slightly darker than it will appear on your hair.
Test the color on a pinch of hair by applying a generous amount to an area of your hair that is not noticeable like under the neck. Leave on for 10-30 minutes, rinse with just water and fully dry so you can see the final result before applying all over.

Apply using the Modern Color’s Eco-Friendly Hair Coloring Bowl & Brush Set and work the product through your hair with Modern Color’s Eco-Friendly Professional Detangling Brush to distribute color evenly.

Natural Hair & Gray Blending:
Modern Color was designed to boost color-treated hair and repair damage in between salon visits. Modern Color does not guarantee coverage for gray hair and natural roots. However, it can help blend them over time with continued applications.
If you are looking to blend grays and roots, you may need to apply for 45 min, or do multiple applications to get desired results.
When doing multiple applications, do not use any other shampoo or conditioner in between applications to allow the color time to build if you do not get any gray or natural root coverage on the first try. Gray coverage can look like soft highlights after 3 or 4 applications,
Results may vary. Gray blending depends on the porosity of the hair, and not all grays and natural roots will get blending/coverage when using Modern Color.

Directions For Use:
